n this website, we are going to share the meaning of this heavenly book, the Quran, which God declares to be the last and complete of His four books. God Himself accepts responsibility for the preservation of this Quran. And He designates it as the key to the gates of the Hereafter for human beings and as a constitution for conducting worldly life. In this article, on the one hand, we will strive to keep our writing in simple language, and on the other hand, we will strive to substantiate this writing from the Quran.
Through this effort, we wish to introduce the Quran to those Muslims and People of the Book around the world whose mother tongue is not Arabic. This is a gift for the Hereafter for those Muslims who, in blind devotion to scholars and memorizers, have been repeating the Quran like parrots from generation to generation. Muslims have been deceived by their Imams through the Arabic language. Some say that fully understanding the Quran is difficult. And some say that the Quran does not answer every question. Whereas God says that:
❝Among the verses that We have revealed to you, some are Muhkam; their meanings are simple and they are the essence and core of the Book, and some verses are Mutashabih; their meanings are complex and ambiguous. So those in whose hearts is crookedness follow those Mutashabihat in search of discord. But the outcome of these matters is known only to Allah.
Quran-3:07❞
It is the Muhkam verses alone that suffice for understanding and explaining the religion.
On the other hand, God says,
❝Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed My blessing (Quran) upon you.
Quran-5:03❞
Now the question is, is there an error in what God says or are the claims made by religious authorities wrong?
I contend that if Muslims begin to read the Quran with understanding, then not only will they remain Muslims, but they will become true believers. May my Lord grant the entire world the ability to understand the Quran rather than merely reciting it.
Here is one point to grasp clearly: being born into a Muslim household or merely being called a Muslim does not guarantee Paradise. Aside from the Prophets, only two types of people will attain Paradise: first, the God-conscious (muttaqī), and second, the true believer (mumin). No one can become a true believer without understanding the Quran. And whoever merely recites the Quran or listens to today's scholars' preaching cannot be saved from disbelief.
Allah revealed the Torah for the people of Moses (ʿalayhi s-salām), the Gospel for the people of Jesus (ʿalayhi s-salām), and the Quran for the Ummah of Muḥammad (ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-s-salām) so that people might find God through these sacred books and understand His Sunnah and His Shariah. But alas! Instead of following Allah's way, they follow the Sunnah of the Prophet; and instead of Allah's Shariʿah, they follow the law of Shayṭān that prevails in the world.
Some people here might be confused and think that perhaps I do not believe in the Prophet ﷺ. But the reality is otherwise. The life of the Prophet ﷺ was in accordance with the Quran, which is why scholars favoured his way (Sunnah) and the ḥadīth. However, the books in which the accounts of the Prophet's ﷺ life were compiled were written nearly two hundred years after his passing. Now please decide carefully and answer:
Should we follow the same holy book, the Quran, that the Prophet himself followed? or those ḥadīth that were compiled two hundred years later? God says,
❝Say—Should I take as my judge anyone other than Allah, although it is He (Allah) Who has revealed to you a Book in which all the details are explained.
Quran-6:114❞
It is the case that translations of the Quran exist in every language today, so on the Day of Resurrection, will you stand before your Lord and say, "O my Lord! We did not know Arabic, so we accepted what our Imams told us," When Allah says,
❝And My servants, when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, so, they do not fall upon them blind and deaf.
Quran-25:73❞
In other words, without effort, by listening to your word and my word, without research, by taking the easy path—do you expect to deserve Paradise? Never. Allah says,
❝Do you think that you will enter Paradise while you have not yet been tried as those before you were tried?
Quran-2:214❞
❝Do people think that they will be left alone and not be tested simply, because they say, "We believe"?
Quran-29:2-3❞
❝Allah only guides those who strive toward Him.
Quran-13:27❞
❝And indeed, we have made whatever is on earth as an adornment for those, that We may test them as to which of them is best in deeds.
Quran- 18:7❞
That is, this world is a place of action. If you want, make your actions a stepping stone to the hereafter, otherwise a life of peace is always available. Because the scholars of the Muslim Ummah explain that on the Day of Judgment, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will intercede and save everyone. Allah says:
❝And no prophet can speak before Allah. They act by His command. Nor can they intercede for anyone. Except for the one with whom Allah is pleased.
Quran-21:27–28❞
Thus, the right of intercession belongs solely to Allah. And on that Day the Prophet ﷺ will say:
❝O my Lord, my people have abandoned the Quran.
Quran-25:30❞
Therefore, we have organized the verses of the Quran under thematic headings to make understanding easier. For those whose hearts are shackled by disbelief, this effort will be like the strike of a dagger, and for others, God willing, it will prove to be a path of guidance. May Allah make our effort successful and accepted. Ameen.
